Gianyar Indonesia

Gianyar is a regency (kabupaten) on the Indonesian island and in the province of Bali. It covers an area of 368 km² and has a population of about 470,380, making it the second most densely populated district in Bali after Badung. The administrative centre of the regency is the town of Gianyar. A civil registry survey in April 2011 recorded 480,447 residents, of whom 469,929 were registered as Hindu. The town of Ubud, a major centre for arts and tourism, is located within Gianyar Regency.
